📌 Program online at Kriterion
Finally a real Jewish film festival in Mokum again! From May 2-5, 2024, a selection of thoughtful Jewish films will be screened at Kriterion.
In four days and more than fourteen films, we will take you on a journey through the Jewish world. Our theme Boundless: Stories from the Diaspora, focuses on the diasporic nature of Jewish culture and offers a glimpse into contemporary, living Jewishness. We explore themes that mark the life cycle, joy and sorrow, life as a cultural and religious minority, and the impact of persecution. We also reflect on the meaning and importance of remembrance in contemporary times with a special program on May 4 and 5. This will include a special Oy Vey memorial to mark the anniversary of the end of World War II.
Dutch premier screenings!
Special: Several screenings will be Dutch premieres. With post-screening discussions with striking speakers, performances by poets, music and the very best Jewish films, the very first edition of Oy Vey Film promises to be a highlight of the year. In short: you definitely don’t want to miss this!
