Our Rosh Hashana event is unfortunately full — but we do still have a waitlist. In our experience places do open up, though we can’t promise it. We’d also love to welcome you at our other gatherings during and around the High Holidays, such as the Shofar workshop, Yom Kippur and Kids Sukkot.

Oy Vey and the Uilenburgersjoel are inviting you to join us in ushering in the year 5787 in an immersive way. Rosh Hashana – the Jewish New year of years* – is an entry point into the magical ancestral portal of transformation that we call the High Holidays. So, let’s get high on ritual and gather together to celebrate Rosh Hashanah.

• Time: 18.00 – 22.00 
• Location: Uilenburgersjoel in Amsterdam

The evening will consist of a Rosh Hashanah ceremony followed by a (vegan) dinner in the most beautiful shul in Amsterdam. 

We welcome everyone, Jewish, Jew-ish, not Jewish beloveds and friends – all age groups, all budgets, all backgrounds and all levels of familiarity with Jewish ritual. In case you would like to get familiar with a few of the (liturgical) songs that will appear in the ceremony, you are welcome to join the Singing Shtetl on either August 9th or September 5th where we will learn them together.

Oy Vey is working to become a self-sustaining community. This is why we ask for a contribution for our gatherings. This event costs around 55eu per participant. We offer a tiered system of donation for the High Holidays: 40/55/70 euro.
