Kaddish Club

Grief is a part of being alive. We all encounter it at some point in our journey. At many intersections. Jewish tradition offers us precious rituals to mourn and grieve in different stages and in different ways. One of these rituals is to say Kaddish in community.

It can sometimes be difficult or daunting to find a minyan (a quorum of 10) to do this with. Or maybe feel a little out there – to be witnessed like that by community.

Our Kaddish Club is a warm, welcoming space for anyone navigating loss and mourning — no matter your background or familiarity with Jewish tradition. We explore Jewish ritual in a non-dogmatic and contemporary way.

Join us for a monthly gathering where we share the names of those we are grieving, where we are in our grief journey, sit with a little poetry or teaching, and recite the Kaddish together. Rabbinic student and grief-worker Lievnath will guide this club.

This first edition of the Kaddish Club takes place on May 3rd, which is the national day of empathy. We thought it would be a good day to start.
