A funny and tender dramedy about grief and reconciliation, as an atheist father and his Orthodox son are forced to share a week of shiva under one roof.

Big-hearted but stubborn boxing coach Tamás (Zoltán Bezerédi) gets along with everyone, except his son Iván (Tamás Szabó Kimmel). Since Iván moved to Israel and joined an Orthodox Jewish community, they have barely spoken. Tamás has never even met his grandson Ariel (Leo Gagel).

When Tamás’ beloved wife Zsuzsa dies unexpectedly, Iván returns home for the funeral with one clear request. In accordance with religious regulations, he wants to sit shiva in his father’s house for a full week. Tamás reluctantly agrees, but only if Iván brings Ariel along.

During the mourning period, Tamás’ living room becomes the scene of rituals, prayers and men dressed in black reciting the Kaddish. Meanwhile, Ariel grows obsessed with the idea that his grandmother’s spirit is still in the house, and that an evil ghost is trying to keep her from reaching the Eternal Light. While Iván tries to explain everything through faith, Tamás joins Ariel’s fantasy, turning grief into an absurd but heartfelt bond. As tensions rise, father and son are forced to confront the conflicts that shaped their fractured relationship.
