Oy Vey is bringing Standing Together to the Netherlands

We are proud to announce that we are bringing Rula Daooud & Alon-Lee Green, co-directors of Standing Together to the Netherlands! As the largest Jewish-Arab grassroots movement in Israel/Palestine, Standing Together wants to create an alternative to the current reality. Working from the principles of solidarity and collectivity, they strive towards justice for everyone on the land between the river Jordan and the Mediterranean Sea.

Throughout the week of Sept 24th and Sept 29th Alon-Lee & Rula will be doing a whole bunch of events. On Tuesday 24th they will be giving a Freedom Lecture at De Balie and on Wednesday the 25th they will be doing an event at the Liberal Jewish Community of Amsterdam (LJG). On Thursday the 26th we are hosting a movie screening with Movies That Matter at Rialto, with a Q&A with Rula & Alon-Lee afterwards.

The events at De Balie & Rialto are public and can be attended by buying a ticket. If you would like to attend the event at the LJG please sent them an e-mail at secretariaat@ljg.nl 

We cannot stress enough how proud we are that we’ve managed to bring Standing Together to the Netherlands. If the ceaseless violence of the past months has shown us anything it is that a path out of the darkness can only come from a radical vision of justice & solidarity and from hope for a better future for everyone on the land.
