We’re dancing ecstatically to honor the joyous time between Sukkot and Simchat Torah. Instead of our monthly Reimagined Havdalah we gather to mark the moment of transition between Sukkot and Simchat Torah with ecstatic dance. Back in temple times this would be when the alter was ritually cleansed.

So let us cleanse our bodies & souls with a shabbat meditation & silent ecstatic dancing to Shtetl beats. You are welcome to join us from 19:15 – 21:30 at our Reimagined Havdalah space, YogaZenter in Amsterdam.

There will be no alcohol served (only kiddush wine during the Havdalah ceremony, with which we will end the evening), and the dancing will be in silence & with no shoes on. It will be a practice of connection and surrender, of joy and ecstasy!

The cost of these sessions is €18 per person. For those who can pay, we offer a sliding scale from 10 – 36 euro.

Oy Vey is working to become a self-sustaining community. This is why we ask for a contribution for our gatherings. Pay what you like/can. This money goes towards paying for the costs of building our collective community. It also helps cover costs for folks who cannot afford to pay. This is how we take care of one another.
