The Jewish Manifesto - "We need to talk"

Het Joods Manifest, Diaspora Dialogues. "We need to talk" Donderdag 19 dec.

Amsterdam, Amsterdam

19/12 20:00
Join us for an Oy Vey event at Pakhuis de Zwijger in Amsterdam where we will discuss what it means to be Jewish in a non-Jewish world.
In-depth conversations with Jews from all backgrounds—that’s what Stichting Oy Vey did for two years. Now we’re done talking (as if 😂), and it’s time to share all this richness with Jews and friends in the Netherlands. We call it: The Jewish Manifesto. Listen and read it online now, in both English and Dutch!

How can Jews in the Netherlands shape their diasporic identity in an inclusive way? How do our various positions in society and our overlapping identities influence one another? And what does that mean for us? We’ll discuss these questions and more at Pakhuis de Zwijger on December 19.

There will be music (Benjamin Fro and Fan Club Nothing). There will be food. And there will be new ideas (Judith Frishman, Prof. em, You).

You can participate too! (You!) We will invite the audience to actively join the conversations. Be curious, bring questions, a recipe, a poem, or a dream. We’d love to hear from you.

The evening will primarily be in Dutch, with some English.
